The paved 13.1-mile course starts and finishes at Smart Financial Centre. With minimal elevation, almost all right turns and stocked energy stations throughout the route, it is approachable for a first-time half marathoner and quick enough for experienced runners chasing a personal best.

How race morning flows

Parking opens at 5:00 AM at Smart Financial Centre.
Announcements begin at 6:45 AM. Runners with disabilities start at 6:55 AM.
All other Half Marathon runners begin at 7:00 AM.
Maintain a 16:00-per-mile average so Sugar Land roads can reopen on schedule.
Cross the line for your medal, food, drinks, music and the post-race celebration.
Ways to Participate
Choose the category that fits you
The Half Marathon welcomes open runners, qualified invitational athletes, Guardians, pacers and athletes with disabilities.
Age Group is open to all. Half Invitational qualifying standards are 1:25 for men and 1:40 for women.
Available to active or retired Police, Fire, EMS and Military members, as well as their spouses.
Categories include handcycles, push-rim wheelchairs and para runners. Guides arranged by athletes may register free.
Join an organized pace group on race morning or apply to help lead one of the available finish-time groups.

What is available on course
Restrooms
Restrooms are available at the start and finish, with additional facilities near miles 5, 6.5, 8 and 11.
Energy Stations
Water is available throughout the course, with Gatorade, gels and ice offered at selected stations.
Course Medical
Medical staff are stationed at the finish and rove the course throughout the morning.
Miles 2.2, 3.5, 5, 6.5, 8, 9.8, 11 and 12. Exact locations and available items may shift slightly on race day.
