Your station guide.

Set up · 15 minutes

  1. Text your check-in.

Text Becky or Trey: “Station 1A — [your name] — onsite.” Get your shirt from the pallet.

  2. Set tables behind the curb.

Unpack the pallet. Put water and Gatorade tables 10–20 feet apart. Set out pitchers, cups, Gels, ice and kiddie pools. Keep everything off the road.

  3. Check your refill water.

Check coolers and blue refill jugs are filled. Use jugs to refill coolers and pitchers. If there’s a Water Monster tank, use it for refills—not cups. Use 1–2 coolers each for water and Gatorade. Mix Gatorade concentrate using the supplied directions; if none are provided, contact Becky or Trey.

  4. Gloves on. Cups ready.

Fill with pitchers instead of the slow cooler tap. Keep water and Gatorade cups separate. Make rows of cups; use stacking boards for big crowds. Use ice to keep drinks cool.

How/what to serve

Water & Gatorade

Stay behind the curb. Call “Water!” or “Gatorade!” Hold out a cup and let the runner take it. Pinch it slightly and move your hand with the runner. Don’t chase runners or force a cup.

Gels & ice

Call “Gels!” and “Ice!” Hand them out when requested. Gels are small energy-gel packets. Add ice to cups in hot weather.

Refill & tidy

Split jobs: filling cups, handing out supplies and collecting trash. Keep tables stocked. Call Becky or Trey before supplies run out. Direct runners to restrooms; report low toilet paper.

Stay safe. Get help early.

Keep people and equipment off the road. Watch for cars; the runner lane may not be active until 7 AM. For medical help, get the runner’s name and bib number. For a life-threatening emergency, call 911.

Clean up & check out

Wait for Becky or Trey to release your station. Empty coolers, pick up trash and return equipment to the pallet. They have plastic wrap to secure it. Get your hours sheet signed or ask for a prefilled one. You can email later for verification; the email address still needs to be added.

Save these before race morning
